We also have many ways to serve inside the church. We have an active Church Council, Lay Assistant Ministers, Ministry Teams, Altar Guild, and many other opportunities to get plugged in! Call the church office at 970-482-9692 for more information or pick up a copy of the ministry teams booklet.

Church Council

An executive team of president, vice president, secretary, financial secretary, and treasurer, along with representatives from each ministry team make up the church council. Terms last for two years and can be renewed once for a total of four years. To learn more about the Church Council, visit their page.

Lay Assistant Ministers (LAM)

Read the liturgy during the service; prepare the prayers of the church; assist with distributing communion. Most LAMs assist one Sunday service every other month.

Read the prepared texts during each service, including the Psalm. Readers are scheduled for one Sunday service each month for six months. A different team takes over every six months.

Altar Guild

Set up the altar with appropriate linens; prepare and clean-up communion; prepare materials and font water for baptisms; maintain altar and baptismal candles. Commitment of one month per year. Set up trays on Saturday (about 30 minutes) and prepare altar prior to each service (5-10 minutes) on Sunday and clean up after last service (about 30 minutes).

Light and extinguish altar candles for service; assist in serving communion; assist with baptisms. Acolytes sign-up for one or two services per month. Contact Pastor Dana for training.

Just say hello to folks as they walk in the door on Sunday morning! One Sunday service per six months. A different team takes over every six months.

Assist with handing out service bulletins; passing the offering plate, guiding folks up to communion rail; informing pastor of congregants who need assistance during communion. One Sunday service per six months. A different team takes over every six months.

Slide Advancers

Control the Powerpoint presentation used to guide the worship on Sunday, including liturgy and hymns. Volunteers usually do one or two services per month.

Bakery Brigade

Bring baked goods; make coffee before the service; clean up after the second service. We encourage all members of the congregation to sign up to bring baked goods or make coffee once or twice throughout the year.

Music Activities

We have many opportunities for musicians, including piano accompanists, church choir, handbell choir, Lost Sheep (contemporary worship group), Out of the Hills (blue grass worship group), and special music.
